For most things around here, mild steel is good enough. And if you get the galvanized kind, it’ll last a good long time, even out in the weather.
How do you measure this thing in inches anyway?
You see those fancy folks with their “millimeters” and all that. Well, I don’t know nothing about that. But if you got something measured in millimeters, just times it by 0.03937, and that will give you the inches. So, if you got 60 millimeters, that’s like 2 and a little bit more inches. See? Easy peasy.

You can find it at them big hardware stores, like that Home Depot place, or even online. Just look for the sheet metal section. Sometimes you can even get scraps from a metal shop for cheap, if you don’t need a whole big sheet. Just gotta shop around, you know?

Well, that depends on what you’re tryin’ to do. If you need something strong but not too heavy, something you can bend and shape without a lot of fuss, then yeah, this might be just the ticket.
